Asphalt Millings 

Low Cost , Budget & ECO  Friendly 

Crushed asphalt millings are made out of recycled asphalt pavement. Since the material used for the project is recycled, the cost is significantly lower than if you had to pay for all new materials. Essentially, asphalt millings are the crushed remnants from other asphalt projects that get recycled crushed and screened to remove any chunks so your left with a fine loos aggregate suitable for your drive way or road ways.

Producing asphalt releases a lot of greenhouse gasses, so by using crushed asphalt milling instead of new, solid asphalt, you are making the more environmentally-friendly choice. Crushed asphalt also has the benefit of being permeable, meaning it can drain liquids through itself.

We lay down 4oz geotextile fabric that helps with strength of sub grade allowing us to put down less material with out loosing the structural  integrity of the drive way or road it also allows water to pass threw and also acts as a weed blocker . We then install a minimum of 5" of millings that will be graded and compacted or rolled in with a roller being left with a finished product that is rock hard. The oils in the millings with the sun baking on it will only make it stronger and fully set up .

We recommend a week before driving on it just so it has time to bake in the sun and fully set up you can drive on it same day and park but the one week is recommended before heavy traffic on it.

 

Yes you can put salt and ice melt down for ice and not have to worry about it damaging the millings. You can Plow and snow blow it as well if plowing recommend to stay up just above it about half itch to an inch to ensure the plow doesn't dig in and tear it up to be on the safe side.

asphalt millings are also low maintenance compared to gravel drive ways gravel is loose and will wash over time as millings binds up after being rolled and baked in the sun it gets hard so you don't have to worry about the rain ruining your drive way like you would with gravel . Gravel drive ways have a higher fix and repair then millings.

With little maintenance  and proper care your asphalt milling drive way will last years to come.

You Can also seal Coat the milling but it must be sprayed on by a seal coat company we at the moment don't offer that but we do have recommendations until we are set up to seal eventually .

If you have a regular asphalt drive way and you want to go with the millings we will come in and rip out the old asphalt haul it of to the the recycling plant and install your new milling drive way or road way.
